We never tire of mentioning how instrumental our people are to our success—because it is so incredibly true. Everything we have achieved and continue to do at Intelligencia AI and in the industry is because of our dedicated, intelligent, motivated professionals who tackle challenges and spot areas of opportunity every day with enthusiasm, creativity and the dogged determination needed to raise the bar.
But our people are more than just senior developers, customer experience experts or machine learning gurus; they are exceptional, unique and interesting individuals we want you to get to know.
Throughout our “Day in the Life” blog series, we’ll introduce you to our global team and introduce you to the intelligence – our people – behind Intelligencia AI.
Our following profile is with one of our scientific associates, Andriana Aktypi. Like many others, Andriana discovered Intelligencia AI and her role through word-of-mouth. Connect with her on LinkedIn and read the Q&A below to learn more.
How did you learn about Intelligencia AI and the career opportunity?
I started working at Intelligencia AI in October 2022, where I transitioned from my role as a molecular biologist. As a molecular biologist, I achieved many of my professional goals and aspirations; however, I was excited to pursue new opportunities that will allow me to grow in my career.
I first heard about Intelligencia AI through my two friends and now colleagues, Maria Lala (group lead in clinical data excellence) and Christina Diamanti (senior scientific associate in clinical data excellence), or the CDE team for short. They spoke very highly about the company, and this was an opportunity that I could not pass up.
What inspired you to say ‘yes’ to your first role at Intelligencia AI?
Ever since my friends—and now colleagues—spoke so highly about Intelligencia AI and its work, I’ve been drawn to the company. I was excited about its mission to bring therapies closer to patients and its commitment to innovation. The opportunity to work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment while positively impacting patient lives was irresistible.
Can you share more details about your role and what a typical week looks like?
In a typical week as a scientific associate, I focus on managing and analyzing data from clinical trials, organizing meetings within my team to ensure alignment on current goals and projects, and, most importantly, curating our data files to ensure they are efficient and updated. I am an early bird. I usually wake up around 5:30 a.m. and go through my morning routine before heading into the office to start my day.
What is the most rewarding part of your role?
The most rewarding part about my role as a scientific associate is the opportunity to directly contribute to improving a patient’s life. By analyzing and curating clinical trial data that can be used to improve somebody’s life or even cure a disease is something that is very close to my heart and the most rewarding to me.
Which one of our core company values resonates with you the most?
If I had to choose a company value, it would be “care” because everyone at Intelligencia AI cares for each other and constantly strives to help each other raise the bar (which is another company value!) Genuine care sets the foundation; when we deeply care about people and our work, then everything else falls into place.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Be patient and trust the timing of the process. When an opportunity does not come up, it’s because something else is on the horizon, so it’s very important to stay focused and embrace the unexpected.
